For navigators or wayfarers, a waypoint is a point or place on a route. Personally, "waypoints" represents the people, places, and events encountered on my journey through life. I express these experiences as binary patterns, colors, and textures. I use tribal patterns and designs to illustrate our indigenous roots and our primal quest for knowledge.
Subtle elements symbolize the unclear tapestry of everyday existence, while other parts are more clearly defined and signify life's focal points.
As you look at the colored patterns, layers of fiber, and rich textures, you begin to identify the different seasons in life and the intersection of people and experiences. The defining elements create a focal point symbolizing a different direction or a clearer path.
